About us
A small team spearheaded by designer Devin Cartwright, the studio works on projects big and small, residential and commercial.

For each residential project, they get to know the client personally, driven by the belief that a person will love their home the most if it's built around their favorite pieces, sense of style, and where they like to travel. They take a collaborative approach to ensure the finished project reflects the person or family's authentic self.

When working with businesses, the team take a similar approach, making sure the company's spaces match its brand and aesthetic. Offices don't need to be sterile. They should encourage executives and employees to maximize creativity and productivity.

About Devin
Devin Cartwright believes in timeless design that will never go out of style. With experience across a wide array of aesthetics, his favorite style is eclectic modern — the blend of the historic with contemporary finishings and fixtures that make a home or business feel fashionable while not papering over its origins. He also incorporates worldly art and furniture that fit both his clients’ tastes and the scope of the project.
Much like his design style, Devin’s history transcends categories. He was born into a poor, rural family living in the Illinois river town Havana, grew in the small nearby cities of Peoria and Springfield, and moved to Los Angeles with his husband to explore new horizons — and opportunities.
One of his most noteworthy professional experiences was working on the remodel of the Illinois Governor’s Mansion under the direction of international interior designer Tara McVary, financed by billionaire Governor J.B. Pritzker. The project was led by Michael Smith, who also designed the Obama White House.
To better understand design, Devin has worked in the many underlying crafts that are part of any project. He’s built and reupholstered furniture, sewed curtains, and worked with blacksmiths to create custom chandeliers. He’s painted, tiled, put up wallpaper, and taken down walls. He’s also an accomplished artist who has both sold his work and created custom pieces for his clients.

When he's not designing homes, he loves gardening, painting, and playing Fortnite with his nieces and nephews who live across the country.
